Control Board
The control board, sometimes called the controller or CBU (Control Board Unit) is the brain of an ASIC miner. It manages communication between the hash boards, monitors temperatures, controls fan speeds, handles pool connections, and runs the miner’s firmware. When a control board fails, the entire machine goes offline regardless of whether the hash boards are in perfect condition.
