How to Setup Goldshell AE Box II?

Unboxing the Goldshell AE Box II

• Goldshell AE Box II comes in a thick cardboard box, tightly padded with thick foam pieces on top and bottom for safe shipping. The package also has a quick start guide for your easy reference.

• It comes with three power adapters. You can use either of them depending on the power supply method you have.

• The ASIC comes with a WiFi attachment as well. You can find the antenna screwed at the back of the ASIC, as shown below. You can use it to switch on the WiFi and access the internet.

Power Supply Methods for Goldshell AE Box II

• There are two major power supply methods for Goldshell AE Box II.

~ The first and the most popular one is using 6-pin to 6-pin PCIe cables.

~ The power supply itself is an HP Server PSU that goes into a breakup board.

~ The HP Server PSU used here is a 750Watt PSU. Hence, you can plug it into both 120V or 240V power. However, the majority of those who use AE Box II would be running it on 120V.

~ Now, let’s discuss the second option with these power adaptors. If you have the 80X power supply, typically, once the ones that go into the desktop PC, they are going to have PCIe cables that you can plug into the adapters.

~ Each strength coming out of the 80X power supply should be plugged into each of those adaptors shown below.

~ The other end of the adaptor will go into the AE Box II like this.

• It is highly recommended to use 3 different strengths to split up the wattage load, as the ASIC will hit up to 530 W. It is always good to have the extra strengths to power the AE Box II for added safety.

Step-by-step Instructions for Setting Up the Goldshell AE Box II

1. Preparando el ASIC

• Connect your Goldshell AE Box II to the power supply.

• Next, connect your ethernet cable to the ASIC. Though Goldshell AE Box II has WiFi support, you will need an ethernet cable to initially set up the ASIC. Later you can use the WiFi.
• Now that you have your power supply and ethernet cables plugged into the ASIC, turn on the power. You can see your Goldshell AE Box II switching on with the lights blinking.

• Now, it’s time to set up the software to set up the AE Box II. You will need a computer for that. You can either use a desktop or a laptop to log in, provided it is on the same network as your Goldshell AE Box II.

2. Configurando el ASIC

• You will need the IP address of your Goldshell AE Box II to log into the web GUI and set up the mining pool.
• Now, let’s find the IP address of the Goldshell AE Box II. You can get the IP address using either of the following steps.

~ Alternatively, you can log into your router and get the IP address.

3. Accessing the Goldshell AE Box II via the Web Browser

• That will take you to the web GUI of your Goldshell AE Box II.

4. Añadiendo el grupo de minería

• The first step to adding the mining pool is to unlock your Goldshell AE Box II. Click on the unlock button in the top right corner.

• As you click on the unlock button, it will ask for credentials. The default username is admin, and the password is 123456789. Enter those details and click unlock.

• Now the miner is unlocked. It will now let you edit the pool settings.

• Click on the add button in the top right corner.

• You can choose any of the pools listed out there. Alternatively, you can also visit miningpoolstats.stream and choose any of your preferred mining pools as well.

• Here, let’s take DXPool for illustration. As you click on the DX Pool, the URL will be populated right there.

• You can sign in/sign up to the DX Pool, which will be your wallet address.

• Alternatively, you can get a Leo wallet.

• Let’s take Leo wallet for illustration here. Go to the Leo wallet. Copy the receiving address.

• Now go to your web GUI. Paste the copied wallet address into the Miner’s name.

• Add a period at the end of the wallet address and give a worker name of your preference. Here it is given as .aebox2.

• Enter the password as “123” or X or whatever you want.

• Once you enter all the details, hit Apply.

• Now, ensure you remove the stock one after you see a second pool. Thus, the pool you just added is actually mining.

• The final step is to go to the System page. Hit the restart button at the end of the page.

5. Comenzar la mineria

• As you restart the miner, you can see the miner starts mining Aleo in a couple of minutes.
• You can watch the mining status in real time on your dashboard.

• The power consumption here is 512 W. However, it may vary for you depending on your mining atmosphere.
