How to Set Up Jasminer X16QE?

Here is a detailed step-by-step process for setting up your Jasminer X16QE.

1. Preparing the ASIC

• Plug the ethernet cable into the ASIC. Although Jasminer X16QE does support Wi-Fi, you will need an ethernet cable to access its Web GUI.

• Next, you will need to purchase power cables separately, as they don’t come with the ASIC.

• Plug one side of the power cable into the ASIC miner and the other into the power outlet. A typical 120V North American power outlet will work.

• Hit the power button on the back side of the ASIC.

• Ensure all plugs are tightly secured, and there are no loose connections.

2. Configuring the ASIC

• Once the power is on, you can see the lights glowing on the ASIC.

• Now, you will need your Jasminer X16QE’s IP address. Thus, you can log in to the web GUI and set up the ASIC for crypto mining.
• You will need a laptop or computer that uses the same internet network as your ASIC.
• Now, you need the IP address of the Jasminer X16QE. To get the IP address of the miner, you can choose any of the following steps:

~ You can use the free program software called Advance IP Scanner to get your miner’s IP address.
~ You can log in to your router and get the IP address.

3. Accessing the Jasminer X16QE via the Web Browser

• You can copy the IP address and paste it into the web browser. A window will appear asking for a username and password.

• Sign in to the browser by entering “root” as a username and password.
• Now, you can access the web GUI of Jasminer X16QE.

4. Adding the Mining Pool

• You can check Mining Pool Stats to choose the mining pool to mine Ethereum Classic. You can research and select the pool that best suits your mining needs. For instance, let’s take K1pool for demonstration purposes.
• K1pool is compatible with various miners. You can copy the pool address for the Jasminer port and paste it into your web GUI. Also, you can choose the server in Europe, the USA, or China according to your location.

• Paste the IP address into the web GUI of Jasminer X16QE.

• You can also add the backup mining pools, Pool 2 and Pool 3, by changing the server location to the US and China. These backup pools can save you if any of the pools go down.
• Now, you need to add the worker’s name. To do so, you will first create an account with K1pool.

• Once you click on “create account,” you can log in with your regular Google account.

• You can click on the dashboard. You can copy the worker’s name and paste it into your web GUI.

• While pasting, you have to add .x16qe. You can copy and paste it to all worker’s names.

• The password can be either x or 123.
• Now, scroll down and go to advanced settings.
• Update the pool protocol as Getwork.

• Update the coin selected as ETC+ZIL.

• Update work mode as performance ultra.

• Hit save after entering all the details.

5. Start Mining

• Once it starts mining, you will get paid in ETC coins on your crypto wallet.

• You can also use wifi to connect by clicking the WLAN option under settings. Thus, you can mine ETC wirelessly.

• After a wait of 20 to 30 minutes, you will see the mining status on your dashboard.
