What to expect in the shipment package?

• This is how you will receive the Antminer KA3 from Crypto Miner Bros.

• The machine is safely packed with foam pieces. As you open it, you will see a quick start guide to help you use the miner.

• As you remove the foam, you will find the entire machine perfectly wrapped in an antistatic bag and foam underneath for safe shipping.

• As you unbox it, you will find a hefty machine. Take it carefully and place it on a flat surface where you have a wired network and in a relatively cooling atmosphere, as the machine will release heat.
• At present, the Antminer KA3 comes in two different looks. One is the same with the typical Antminer series, as shown in the following picture.

• The other comes with a protective metal cover, as shown in the following picture.

Now, the actual setting up process begins.

Step-by-step guide for setting up the Bitmain Antminer KA3 166Th

1. Preparing your machine

• Connect the miner to the router with a network cable (Ethernet cord). No wifi support is available in Antminer KA3.

• Next is to power the machine. You will need 2 sets of C-13 to C-14 cables to power the ASIC Miner. However, you will not receive these cables with the machine, and you should order them separately. You can either buy from Amazon.

• Plug in those cables to 230 or 240v PDU.
• You will need an appropriate power infrastructure of around 3000 Watts to run the ASIC miner.

• Now, plug the two C13 and C14 power cables into the ASIC miner.

• Ensure all plugs are tight and there are no loose connections. Now you are all set to start the miner.

2. Configuring the miner

• Once the power supply is on, the ethernet light should come on.

• Now you would need the IP address of the KA3. To get the IP address of the miner, you can choose any of the following steps:
  • You can use the free program software called Advance IP Scanner to get your miner’s IP address.
  • You can log in to your router and get the IP address.

3. Accessing the KA3 via the web browser

• Once you enter the IP address in the browser, a window will appear asking for a username and password.

• Now you can access the dashboard of the Antminer KA3.

4. Checking the firmware

Next, go to systems in the menu to check the firmware upgrades for the KA3 miner.

• Select the algorithm from the drop-down. That is KDA Blake 2S, and the miner’s name is Antminer KA3.
• Check the published date of the firmware. If there is any upgraded firmware version, you can download that.
• You can find the official firmware on the Bitmain’s site. It is always recommended to use firmware from the manufacturer’s website as it helps you prevent viruses and unethical activities.

5. Refining the firmware

• Go to Antminer KA3’s dashboard.
• Select the upgraded firmware that you just downloaded. Check the keep the same settings box.

• Click the update button and wait till the firmware is upgraded. It will take a few minutes.

• Once done, you can see the dashboard displaying the updated firmware version.

6. Add the mining pool

• Go to the settings page. You should add the mining pool, wallet address, and password.

• Choose the Kadena mining pool you want to mine in. You can check miningpoolstats to pick the mining pool. For instance, poolflare .net

• Now copy the pool address based on your region.
• Paste it under the Mining address on the settings page.
• Next is to get a Kadena wallet of your choice.

• Copy and paste that under the miner’s name. Ensure to add.Ka3 at the end.

• Give the password of your choice and save the page. That’s it. You are all set to mine Kadena from the mining pool of your choice.

7. Start mining Kadena

• You can check the Antminer’s dashboard after a few minutes to know the mining status. The mining process should be started at the maximum hash rate of 166Th/s and about 3154W. However, the hash rate and the power consumption may fluctuate according to your environment.
