SUMMARY
Bitmain Antminer E11 mining the EtHash algorithm has a maximum hash rate of 9Gh/s and a power consumption of 2340W. Built with four high-speed fans for instant heat dissipation and efficient cooling, it is ideal for mining Ethereum Classic.
Recently launched in January 2025, Antminer E11 is an advanced EtHash miner designed to meet the expectations of modern miners. If you have already got an Antminer E11 or are considering buying one for your EtHash mining, here is a quick setup guide.
This handy guide will walk you through the detailed setting-up process of Bitmain Antminer E11, with step-by-step instructions and detailed images. It is quite easy, as Antminer E11 is a plug-and-play ASIC.
Unboxing the Bitmain Antminer E11
- The ASIC comes in a cardboard box padded with thick foam pieces at the top and bottom for added protection during shipping.
- The entire ASIC is covered in an antistatic bag for extra protection and to avoid scratches during shipment.
- Remove the ASIC carefully and place it on a flat surface. Ensure your mining atmosphere is well ventilated as the ASIC will exhaust a large amount of heat.
Step-by-step Instructions for Setting Up the Bitmain Antminer E11
1. Preparing the ASIC
- You need a proper power infrastructure to run your Bitmain Antminer E11. If you’re a home miner, you will need to ensure that you have 220-250V to power E11.
- Like most ASICs, Bitmain Antminer E11 demands around 2500W, depending on which hash rate model you get. Hence, you will need an appropriate power infrastructure to support it.
- You will need a 240V 30A Power Distribution Unit (PDU) as shown below to plug in your power cable. It is highly advisable to collaborate with a certified electrician and get the power setup done for your Bitmain Antminer E11.
- Next, you will need a dedicated ethernet connection as the ASIC doesn’t support Wi-Fi.
- Plug in the ethernet cable to the ASIC. Thus, you can connect your ASIC miner to the mining pool using the internet.
- Antminer E11 doesn’t come with power cables. Hence, you will need C-13 to C-14 power cables. Moreover, since E11 has two inputs, you need two of those power cables.
- Alternatively, you can use Y adapters as they come with two input plugs and one power plug. Ensure the Y adapter is a thick gauge cable, preferably 14 gauge.
- Now, plug in the two input cables of the Y adapter into the ASIC.
- Plug in the other end of the cable into the PDU.
- The ASIC has no power switch as such. Once you connect the PDU, the ASIC will turn on. You can see the lights blinking like shown below.
2. Configuring the ASIC
- Now, it’s time to get the IP address of your Bitmain Antminer E11. Hence you can log in to your web GUI and add mining pools.
- You can get the IP address using either of the following steps.
- You can use the free program software called Advanced IP Scanner to get your miner’s IP address.
- Alternatively, you can log in to your router and get the IP address.
- Here, let’s take the advanced IP scanner for illustration. The software automatically scans your IP address. You can copy that address.
3. Accessing the Bitmain Antminer E11 via the Web Browser
- Now, paste the copied IP address into the web browser. A window will appear asking for a username and password.
- The default username and password is “root”.
- As you sign in, you will access the web GUI of your Bitmain Antminer E11.
4. Adding the Mining Pool
- Go to the Settings page by clicking the Settings tab on the left side.
- You will find options to add mining pool, miner name and password details. If you’re not sure about the mining pool options for Ethereum Classic, you can check the website, miningpoolstats.stream. Go to that site and select the Ethereum Classic option on the left. It will list out all the mining pool options for mining Ethereum Classic.
- Antminer E11 cannot mine EthereumPoW (ETHW) because of the memory size. However, it can mine most of the EtHash cryptocurrencies.
- You can pick any mining pool you want. Here, let’s take 2miners.com for illustration. Go to ethw.2miners.com. Click on the “how to start” tab in the right corner.
- You can click and copy the mining pool address for your location.
- Now go back to the web GUI of the Antminer E11 and paste the mining pool address in the Pool 1 tab.
- Since there are options to enter two more backup pools, you can copy the other mining pools for Europe and Asia locations and paste them there.
- Copy and paste the Europe pool mining address in the Pool 2 tab.
- Next, you can copy the Asia mining pool address and paste it into the Pool 3 tab.
- Now, you will need your Ethereum Classic wallet address to enter into your Miner name tab. Ensure you copy and paste the wallet address. Separate it with a period and enter the worker’s name.
- You can add any worker’s name of your choice. Here, it is entered as E11. Now, you can copy that entire thing and paste it into the next two tabs.
- You can enter the password as “X” in all three fields.
- Now, after entering all the details, hit the save button.
- That’s it. You’re all set to mine with your Antminer E11.
5. Start Mining
- Click on the dashboard. In about 15 minutes, you can see the ASIC starts mining and you monitor the mining status in real time.
- The actual hash rate of Bitmain Antminer E11 is 9Gh/s. However, here it reached up to 11Gh/s.
- The power consumption of the Antminer E11 is 2340W. But, here it took about 2873W.
- The power consumption and hash rate might vary in your case, depending on your mining atmosphere. But in this illustration, Antminer E11 consumed a bit more power than advertised. However, it delivered more hash rate for the extra power it consumed. Hence, it is a fair deal.
